Per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) are among the most persistent pollutants. These so-called "forever chemicals" do not degrade for thousands of years and accumulate in water, soil, and human blood. According to a 2024 EU report, PFAS were detected in over 70% of European groundwater samples.
Why activated carbon alone is not enough
Conventional activated carbon filters reduce some PFAS compounds, but quickly lose their effectiveness and can hardly retain short-chain PFAS – the forms that are most common today. Once these substances enter drinking water, they bind strongly to proteins and can long-term impair hormonal and immune systems.
Molecular purification at a new level
SYDROS relies on multi-stage filter technology that specifically removes both long- and short-chain PFAS – through adsorptive and molecular separation processes. This neutralizes even the smallest pollutant molecules and keeps the water free of invisible chemicals – pure down to the molecular level.
